But that music makes me sleepy.
句中make作使役动词，意为“使得”。
That makes me mad!
这简直使我发疯！
Her jokes made us all laugh.

make作使役动词时，后可跟复合宾语。常用结构如下：
（1）make +宾语 + 形容词/名词
（2）make +宾语 + 不带to的动词不定式
The smell makes me sick.
这个味道让我觉得恶心。
The book made me feel boring.
这本书让我觉得无聊。

(1) I’d rather 是I would rather 的缩写形式。would rather意为“宁可；宁愿；更愿意”，后接动词原形，否定形式是would rather not do sth. 。

(2) would rather do sth. than do sth. 意为“宁愿做某事，也不愿做某事”，相当于prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. 。
